Reconstructive surgery in Tunisia

Reconstructive surgery refers to the reconstitution of degraded appearance following a congenital malformation, tumor or disease.

Reconstructive surgery can repair the after-effects of a cancer, an accident or a malformation. It integrates by definition into reconstructive and  plastic surgery. Its regular practice makes it possible to apply the refinement of cosmetic surgery to a repair and the rigor of reconstructive surgery to aesthetics. Reconstructive surgery uses sophisticated techniques with an abstraction component that makes this discipline exciting.

Surgery scars?

Scar revision surgery is a skin repair surgery that consists of making more discreet the presence of unsightly scars on a part of the body. Depending on the type of scar (retractile, ulcerated, keloid), several surgical or medical techniques can be considered to correct its appearance (excision, skin grafting, local plastic surgery, skin expansion).

Surgery of cutaneous tumors

Cutaneous tumors (or lesions) are spots or growths of the skin that can take very different shapes, sizes and colors depending on the case. There are many types of tumors, from the simple mole (naevi) to the rare and difficult-to-diagnose tumor that may be present on the body from birth or appear over time. They are often diagnosed by your doctor or dermatologist who send you to a plastic surgeon to remove them (surgical excision).

Surgery of skin cancers requires a good knowledge of dermatological lesions and repair techniques including the nose, eyelids and ears. The procedure is to completely remove the lesion and repair the loss of substance at the same time so that it is almost impossible to distinguish the operated area.

The after-effects of trauma can be managed by rhinoplasty or the recovery of scar (wounds or burns).

Breast reconstruction

Breast reconstruction is associated with contralateral breast remodeling symmetrization. In addition to flaps and breast implants, lipostructure or liporeemodeling becomes preponderant. It also corrects chest malformations (pectus excavatus).

The limb repair integrates the coverage of traumatic or surgical substance losses with flaps or lipo-scale. Calf prostheses can correct congenital anomalies (club feet).
